TWEENS AND UP CLASSES
BASIC SEWING Instructor: Melinda Glidden
2nd & 4th Wednesdays 4pm-6pm
$20/class + supplies Ages 11 and up
Students will learn to operate their sewing machine, how to use a pattern, choosing
a fabric, and more. Bring your own sewing machine and operating booklet.
DRAWING FOR THE SERIOUS STUDENT Instructor: Bobby Austin
Mondays 3pm-4:30pm
$20/class +supplies Ages 13 and up
Explore different Techniques. Students will tap into natural ability and refine talents
already enjoyed.
Beginning Fusing: Fused Pendant Aug 14 10am – Noon $40.00
This hands-on class is designed for fun! You will make several pendants or magnets
while learning the basics of fused glass. This is a great class for the beginner, and
students get the chance to use frit, stringers and dichroic glass. All materials
included, and fired projects will be available the week after class.
Fused glass pendant and earring set Sept 14 10am – Noon $40.00
This date is the Fused Glass Pendant and Earring Set. In this Class we will be
creating a fused glass pendant and matching earrings using Dichroic glass. Children
ages 12 and up welcome with an adult.
Scatter Platter Oct 16 10am – Noon $65.00
Start with a 10" round base,add random irregular shapes in overlapping layers and
you have a plate that is both unique and functional. So easy you'll want to make a
whole set.
Beginning Fusing: Tile/Coaster Nov 13 10 am – Noon $45.00
Create two 4” square tiles and a fused glass pendant in this two hour class. Your
tiles could be used in a backsplash, as coasters, or simply wall art! Learn the
basics of fusing. Fired projects available one week after class.
FUSED GLASS WIND CHIMES Nov 13 2pm – 5pm $95.00
Brighten your garden with a uniquely beautiful fused glass wind chime. We provided
a pattern to cut, assemble and fuse the individual chime pieces to create a beautiful
customwind chime!.
Fused Glass Garden Stake Class Nov 20 10am –Noon $95.00
Get ready to sit back in the sun and admire your new garden art! Beginners and
those with experience are welcome to join us to learn how to make a round,
transparent fused glass piece that will fit into a wrought iron garden stake. Bring
your own ideas for an insert that is 8" in diameter, or we will have patterns to get
you started. Pieces will be fired in our kiln after class and ready for pick up within
one week. Class includes all materials. These make great gifts.
KNITTING Instructor: Ginger Sheets
Mondays 10am-noon
$80/4 weeks + supplies Ages 15 and up
A class for those who want to learn the basics of knitting. We will cover casting on,
the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off. Materials: two skein of Bulky yarn in
any color, size 10 ½ needles or size the yarn calls
for.
