What is the weekend all about? The weekend is about having fun and fellowship with other quilters. It’s your special time to get away from all of the daily interruptions and just focus on having fun. All your meals will be taken care of (no cooking, no dishes to wash) during the event. You get to sleep in your own bed at night or we can give you a list of area hotels. Let’s laugh, make great memories and maybe get a long overdue project finished. We also have several surprises up our sleeves.

How is the weekend set up? Quilters arrive Friday morning at 9 a.m. and enjoy a continental breakfast followed by lunch and dinner. You will be able to sew until 9 p.m. that evening and then return on Saturday for a continental breakfast and lunch. We will wrap up on Saturday at 4 p.m. Meals, beverages and snacks are included in the retreat price.

What is the cost of the weekend? $89 for the weekend. This price includes all meals and snacks. Optional project kit is not included in the price. What happens to the quilting space – do we need to set up a sewing area each day? Your sewing room will remain set up throughout the weekend and will be locked when we leave, so you are invited to bring your sewing machine and supplies on Friday and leave it until Saturday evening. We will have worktables, cutting tables, irons and ironing boards set up for your convenience. You may want to bring a seat cushion. What will I be working on? We will offer a free class project and kit that is optional for you to work on during the retreat. We will also have demos throughout the weekend. Quilters may also choose to bring additional projects, or work solely on their own project (we all have some of those projects that we have been wanting to finish!).What if I am not a very experienced quilter? The quilt project is designed to be easy and is achievable by a confident beginner. Throughout the weekend we will provide instruction and answer any questions that may arise. What do I need to bring? Quilters are expected to bring their normal quilting needs (sewing machine, fabrics, threads, sewing kit, etc).

A detailed list will be sent a month or so before the weekend
